About Chris Redman

Chris Redman was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where he starred at Male High School before continuing his football journey at the University of Louisville. A hometown favorite, Redman quickly developed into one of the most prolific quarterbacks in NCAA history.

During his time at Louisville, Redman led the nation in passing yards and touchdowns, earning All-American recognition and the 1999 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. His poise in the pocket and command of the offense helped elevate the Cardinals’ program nationally, setting the stage for a professional career.

Redman was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 3rd round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Although he initially served as a backup, he contributed meaningfully to the team’s preparation and game planning. On January 28, 2001, Redman was a key member of the Ravens’ quarterback room during their dominant 34-7 victory over the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXXV, earning a coveted Super Bowl ring early in his NFL career.

Redman’s perseverance defined his professional journey. After battling injuries and limited playing time, he stepped away from football briefly before making an inspiring return with the Atlanta Falcons in 2007. Seizing the opportunity, Redman showcased his ability as a starter and reliable backup, highlighted by several strong performances that earned the respect of teammates and coaches alike. His accurate arm, football IQ, and professionalism kept him in the league until his retirement following the 2011 season.

Following his NFL career, Redman returned to Louisville, where he transitioned seamlessly into business and philanthropy. He works with local schools and youth sports programs, using his platform to mentor young athletes. In addition to his philanthropic efforts, he has built a successful business career and continues to give back through service and leadership. Redman is married and a father, proud to represent the values of his hometown both on and off the field.
